PhD on Agronomic Engineering holding a research position in Wagenigen UR Glastuinbouw for the last 6 years. 2 years post doc position in the Physiology and Protected Crop Technology at IFAPA. For 10 years, researcher in the Greenhouse Technology Department of the Experimental Station Las Palmerillas.


His research activity has been focused on the field of greenhouse technology for different climates, from the modeling and improvement of natural ventilation, design of new prototypes, testing and simulation of innovative covering materials, cooling and heating techniques, CO2 enrichment, to use of renewable energies.

Driven by a passion for innovation in production both food, ornamentals and medicinal, in a host of different business and culture environments, I am a reliable people manager and team leader who manages resources to design and execute diverse projects from blueprints to go life, always with a sustainable and excellence approach.

Pablo fernández

Expert in physical modeling of Greenhouses and Microalgae​

Agricultural Engineer PhD in Biotechnology and Industrial Bioprocesses. As researcher (7 years in University of Almeria, 2 years in Cajamar Las Palmerillas Experimental Station, 1 year in IRTA and the last 5 years in Agri-food Engineering and Technology Area of IFAPA Center La Mojonera) have tackled challenges of diverse nature within the field of engineering.

 

 

This has allowed me to explore in depth strategies and tools of enormous utility in solving specific problems in complex systems. I have participated in numerous research projects as a design and numerical analysis engineer. With solid knowledge in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), I have applied this technique to the development of new greenhouse prototypes and optimization of the geometry of photobioreactors for microalgae cultivation. I have also developed lines of research focused on resource management in agrosystems integrating renewable energies and greenhouse climate modeling and control.
